It has been raining, hailing and just plain cool temps this
week. I am impressed that I see people, via computer, still out in the
mountains hiking. I am much too wimpy for that. I have been enjoying the
lightning storms from my window though. My scorched trees (from a fire we had this
spring) love the moisture, and the grass and new treelets have greened up immensely.
The darkness from the ever looming thunderclouds doesn’t
incite much joy. I am waiting for the clear up and a chance to go hiking next
week. Although there is darkness, the sound of rain is so soothing. Nature is a
contradiction. Destructive power and beauty wrapped up in one thing.
